I do,  that car was fast everytime it hit the dirt, and looked like it was on a rail.  Used to race in my dads class back at the old Eagle speedway in Silsbee.  Alot of people sure didn't like to see that car show up on a Saturday nite. Meant we were running for second place!!!!!!LOL

That was glen english old car. Used to be driven by aubrey cain back in the eagle speedway days. I remember the pink car you remember seeing out run it a time or two. If I am not mistaken it was another chapman car that used to come over from houston. Number 83.... Thats right, Jerry Aylor.

This 66 car was super fast back in the day, would make a hell of a late model stock!

The pink car I am talking about was the number 3 car and my dad, Mike Deromie drove it. He andd Aubrey had some good races back then.

Where has your dad been dude. Waiting on his beautiful hobbystock to show back up!  I think alot of guys took a shot at that 66 back in the day, my uncle bill included. I think by the time aubrey drove this car, my uncle had john glaze driving for him and my cousin david walters was racing against it too. By that point my dad had left eagle speedway and moved on to forest hills and battleground. Shit! I am getting old!!!!!!!! I miss being a kid workin an dads stuff instead of my own!

We sold that car back in December at the Dallas auction. If someone buys it I know where new performance bodies sides and quarters are. It did have some nice parts, but better check all deminsions on motor location.

Just have to say that the old Glenn English Winged Modified was not a chapman car. My Dad,brother and I built that car in the back yard under a carport in1981. I raced it the first time in 1982. It had a pinto body on it and it was yellow #26. The next few years it was blue #26 with the same body. In 1986 the rules changed and we put a firebird body on the car. That's the way it was when I sold it to Glenn English. I started working for Glenn when I sold him the car in 1991. In 1993 the rules changed again and we let chapman put a front clip under it. Glenn said I had enough to do without putting a camaro front clip on the car. Paul Stelly was my right hand mam when it came to keeping 3 racecars up every week. Thanks for all the hard work Paul! Plus I had customer work to do during the day. The car never handled as good after the wheelbase was shorted to 101 inches but we made it work. Really breaks my heart to see it all stripped down.
