You can just go on Saturday, and you won't necessarily have to start in the back. They are running races to determine the inside lane for the big money race on Friday. Then, they will run races on Saturday to determine the outside lane. So, if you just show up on Saturday, win the qualifier, you start on the outside of the front row.

That's the way it was explained in the drivers meeting. I would like it much better if it were the first few rows on Friday, but it's only the inside lane. I guess the only advantage to going both nights is if something happened on Friday, then you have another shot on Saturday.

If you go Fri night to qualify you only pay the $50 and your car is registered for Sat night also. But, if you wait to qualify Sat, you have to pay $75 instead of $50. So, if you qualify Fri night, you only have to pay the $30 pit pass Sat night.
