I would've liked the Rochester 2 bbl carb much better than this $300.00 one. The Rochester is much cheaper...I have one from the old purestock days and could just put a kit in it and be done.

I still have my rochester 2barrel and i know a few that still have them on the shelf if the rules let pure stock run them, and also i have the adapter to mount to a four barrel intake.I would like to see all these tracks work together because they are close together and easy to get too,if one track rains out you can go to the next track and everybody knows southeast weather !!!!!!!!!!.The steet stock should be able to run any carb like a 750 holley four barrel it's crazy for them to run a holley TWO BARREL come on tracks  Wink. I like the ideal that 105 will let us run three different type of tires street tires ,kk704, g60 thats a good ideal Cool.I'm still woundering why the will let you run wheel spacer at 105 BUT THEY WON'T LET RUN 10" WHEELS with back spacing  Huh. But thats ok just woundering any hobby COST MONEY Wink.

105 had a mis print in their rules. They are only allowing radials and asphault pulloffs in the Hobby Stock. They have fixed their rules.

The rochester carb ceased to be manufactured 25-30 years ago they made the holley 350 carb today and 25-30 years ago which one do you think you will be able to use longer. The 350 is what the I Stock car from IMCA run so I don't think it will be obsolete any time soon. Keith later this year we will let a few drivers try the g60 in competition after mid season so keep in touch and I will let you know when. You can probably get some good used one from  the mod drivers. Buster

Which carb is cheaper for the average person to get, the Rochester or the Holley. Seriously!

Some more replys from GTRP:

P.S.- since the stands got messed up again. Maybe you guys could look into moving them back like they were in the early 80s and let the staging area be right in front of the stands again. Just a thought. Fans would eat that up!

Believe it or not we had the same thought.  The issue at the moment is that we can't find any business willing to move the stands that were not damaged.

David the rochester carb is 213.92 with a 40.00 core charge and the holley i think is 280.00 give or take a few dollars .  Hey Glen just a thought you could put a arch on the flag stand walk way and maybe fill in with dirt and just move the new stands back a little bit that would get more spectators involved

as far as i know the 650 is the carb you have to run on the crate motor. not legal on the built motors.
