can anyone tell me for sure if they are going to change our engine rules for 2010? i have heard that they are going to an unlimited cam lift rule, 6" rods, and no wieght add-on for the eq and aluminum intakes. i blew the motor up in my car last night, and am wanting to get a head start for next season, and don't know where to go with it. bigdog50, i want you to put me a good short block together. call me so we can chat..

good question. But seems we were already running an unlimited cam rule this past year. I mean if you dont check it then obviously its not a rule.

Here are the rule adjustments for the Limited Modified:

The cam rule will be lifted, still has to pull vaccum.
Still have the stock appearing crank and rods. Rods are still 5.7 rods.
You can remove the extra 50 pounds of weight from the motor plate forward with the aluminum intake.
Tires - will run American Racer KK704 or Hoosier IMCA stamped G-60's

Thanks,
GTRP

Does the 50 pounds in front of the motor plate include the EQ heads?  I heard that all limiteds will have to run the EQ heads, is this true?

No, you do not HAVE to run EQ heads or aluminum intake.
No, you do not have to have the 50#'s in front of the motor plate as of Sept 30, 2009.

Thanks,
