We've heard rumors that if the Pure Stock car count don't come up, the class will be discontinued.

Is that true?

We were out of the race on the 16th (the night there were only 6 cars there) but, only because we were building a new car. We were there and ready to run on the 23rd and were rained out.

It would be really sad to loose a class that has been around for so long.

I am hoping to be out on the 21st of May. I wont be able to run any sooner due to work schedule. Look forward to getting back out there.

Just the Pure, the car count is low, and if I race anything other than the pure, then I wont be able to race it at all.......

Because the carb is not the issue.  In fact all the tracks had agreed to go to the 2 barrells and BG elected at the last minute not to.  That is perfectly fine, no harm in making that choice, however, if you know Glen once the rule was written for GTRP, it stood.  Additionally, if you do not have a 2 barrel carb, Glen has a few he will loan to someone to try if they are interesting in racing at GTRP.  You just need to call and talk to him so he will have it at the track for you.  I can tell you we have a 2 barrell on the limited and it doesn't lack for any power.  The car is easy to drive and plenty responsive.  I would encourage you to try it, you may enjoy it and the best part is it won't cost you anything but the normal expense of going racing since you won't have to buy a carb.

Hope to see you soon,
JJ
