No, I am saying you need to go along with the 2 barrel that is stated in the rules.  As stated, "A factory stock Holly 350 Carburetor (Part # 0-7448 or Holley rebuilt #65-7448) is the ONLY carburetor allowed.  Removal of the choke flap is the only modification allowed."  My point to what I said was that that the 2 barrel is not a bad carb as it is sometimes made out to be.  I was not saying anything more than A 2 barrel is an efficient carb for circle track racing.  Please do not misconstrue or change what I stated in order to make an argument.  For further information, call Glen.  His number is 409-781-2801.

747, I would agree with what you are saying, however those $170 quadrajets were few and far between.  Unfortunately, most people have in excess of $600 in them.

Ok,Mr. Johnson,I wasn't trying to misconstrue what u was saying i was trying to save a class that i am trying to get back in .The last few years ,life has not let compete in a class that use to be a very competative class , so please don't be offended when I ask a question about a class that I & a few others would like to keep around ,I am trying to be as polite about this topic as I can so please don't take this subject the wrong way. And just to get back to the subject ,Holley carbs. did not come on stock O.E.M. Chevy non performance viehcles. Hence Pure Stock. thank u or ur comments .P.S. I have been around racing for about 25 yrs. & raced off & on for about 12 yrs. i do have a personnel interest. Thank you for your time.

I looked in speedway catalog and can spend 300.00-800.00 dollars for the holly 350. Just about the same for a quad.

Why change the rules to a holley 350 2 barrel when everybody had the qjets to start with. All rule changes do is cost people money and the track wonders why the car count is low.  Go figure!

they ran 350s all last year and the car count was fine .the smaller carb helps keep the motors from getting out of hand
