How bout lets all just forget bout the issues with weight ? It's proven that a big boy can still be competitive . Danny Neely is a big boy also an is competitive . I'm sure he's around 30 or so lbs over 360 also. 360 lbs is in between for us little guys and y'all big guys.. 350 for medium 375 for heavy. Seems pretty fair. U don't have to add all that weight like we do. If u plan on running Acadiana their weight is 350 for this class.. As long as you have a decent piece u can still be competive .. Hell Steven bevills is a big boy and got that ole 99 $ predator goin pretty darn good. So really what's the big deal with what the weight is now?

i like the 350 med 375 heavy just ppl are talking about having to add weight when the weight limit right now is 360 wouldnt that mean you can take off weight to make 350?

^ math skills are out of this world Smiley

that was meant for shane about him having to add weight to make the class

weight is real important.

so is having  a  great handle on your setup.  a heavy guy can run and win giving up 25 pounds... <but many will  call him a cheat>

these are national weights,  been this way for many many  years.   it seems our classes right now would end up the medium and the heavy.

i would like to see  the medium guys enter both light and heavy and race twice, and the heavy guys also enter and run the medium class.

this kart racing is so much more about driver skill and chassis setup and tires.  <at this level>

this clone class has the potential to explode this season...  looking forward to  seeing you guys battle it out !!!

JB  some of the drivers are adding 25 to 50 pounds to make 360. they are afraid that the weight would go to 375 and they would have to add even more
weight,  I assure everyone,  this will not happen.  these guys are ok with adding the weight now to keep kart count up.

i  am not a treadmill fan  either Wink

yes jeremy,  but there are also the regular class weights  325, 350, 375, 400   we  just dont have enough karts for this many classes  yet.  we  been trying 360,  right in the middle.

yes its unfair for the big guys.  but its also unfair for the smaller guys to add  even more weight to make 375 or 400.

the weights for 2013 will be the same as last year.

i think the karts will end up in medium and heavy.

the pro class weight was just for the winter series.   and will still be available if that is what everyone wants to run.  rumor has it we will
have enough karts to run medium and  heavy.  and maybe yall can all get together and you run a "pro" race together after the regular show...

its gonna be fine dont sweat. Smiley

ya i can understand that i just with 15 karts thought we could split it up and make a heavier class and a class where the lighter guys could take off the weight 2 classes med and heavy i did start 15th and make it to 4th then sure enough fuel/engine problems but restarts where a pain for me and the 4th place was when only 9 or 10 karts where in the feild i did have a blast running down the field and i can see where ppl say having more karts are fun but at the same time its like "dam im almost 40 pounds over now what if we had a heavy class i would be near the front for sure"

well if u have to be 360 right now and they make a 350 and 375 class youll either have to take off or add and the most logical thing would be to take off but thats just me taking the easy route....no calculator needed
